The Thicker Lady strikes again... this time with foil thickers.

Just one technique for the moment, but my brain is ticking over all the time.

Magic Glitter

This one's not a hard one to do, but does require plenty of patience for drying.

Put a good layer of dimensional magic (DM) all over. Be careful of the thin parts of the letters as it drips off the side quite easily (don't look too carefully at mine, lol). While the DM is still wet get your glitter and randomly shake it over the letters. Do not cover all of the letter.

I tend to do things once the thickers are on my page, but I'm sure you could do it while they're still on their original sheet, or put them on a page protector or something similar which they will peel from easily.

Want to see the rest of this layout?

Scratching

I achieved this effect with a paper piercer, but any small sharp pointy object like a needle should do the trick.

A couple of tips... I found that gouging deeply didn't really work. Needed more of a repetetive gentle scratching. Sometimes big chunks started coming away. I just left them as I didn't want to lose to much foil, but depending on how distressed a look you were going for you could pull the foil off in bigger pieces.
