|
|
LSBS has no room left on the server to bring you new digi kits and elements at the moment, so we've decided to say goodbye to the digi challenge, and introduce a new one.
And here it is! Our brand new Cybercrop challenge for 2009.
THE GUEST DESIGNER CHALLENGE
Each month, one of our lucky Cybercrop participants will be selected to prepare a Cybercrop challenge. It can be anything you like. A layout, card, off-the-page, digi. Whatever takes your fancy! Whoever is chosen will get more details on what to do when the time is right.
Being such a busy time of year with holidays and the like, our Nicrus decided she'd like to have the honour of being the first cab off the rank (and just quietly, it was her idea!).
We hope you love the new Cybercrop challenge for 2009, and we look forward to seeing who our Guest Designers will be and what they'll come up with.
On with the challenge!....
~A Simple Holiday by Nicole Brown aka Nicrus~
Hello Campers! I really hope you like our new Cybercrop challenge, and I hope you will tackle our first one with gusto!
I love this photo of my mum and her family on holiday at Coolangatta. Normally they went to The Entrance every year, but one very special year, circa 1957 they went to Coolangatta by train from their home town of Harden. Mum remembers feeling so special going to QLD and I can just imagine her excitment.
I love this photo of them on the beach. A picnic basket at the ready. So simple.
Now, for your challenge...
I would like you to scrap a simple summer memory using at least 2 pieces of patterned paper, and include the quote:
In life there are no ordinary moments
Here's my example:
Use the open blade on a pair of scissors to distress the edges of your paper. Don't worry if it tears, just roll the paper a little, add a bit of ink, and you've got a great distressed look.

What a gorgeous LO Nic! Love the challenge - is the distressing bit optional?
Time to have a look through some of my old photos I think! _________________

Distressing is totally optional, and you don't have to use an old photo either. I've wanted to scrap this photo for a long time, and it all came together nicely for this challenge.
Use whatever photo speaks to you. _________________ Cheers

I imagine that quote would suite a layout on lunitics. Definately no ordinary moments when the lunitics are out! _________________ Cheers

Cool, thanks Nic - just wanted to check before I get stuck in (not that I have a problem with distressing of course!). As for photos, well, I'll just see what I come up with! _________________
