52 Pickup....The Year that Was...

What an amazing year of creation and excitement we have had...The gallery has been simply bursting at the seams with amazing, beautiful and moving works of art...layouts, cards and OTP...

I have the honour of doing the very last ever 52 Pickup..and I believe my last creation will say just a little about my favourite way of scrapping...and my favourite man...

Crazy for You - By Belle Comerford

My very own mental patient Mr M Comerford Esq turned the ripe old age of 44 this year...we had a little party the day before with some friends and family but on the actual day I am a big believer of still having a cake, NO MATTER WHAT. We had a very lovely white choc marble mudcake at the party, so I was not in the mood for a mega creation on a Monday night...luckily I had a large pan of 'Evil Chocolate Brownie' (ps just as a small aside I have absolutely no idea where this recipe came from...it was written on a scrap of paper in my handwriting and one day I just found it...I had no recollection of writing it down...but OMG it rocks!) so I just put a choc Ganache Icing and candles on top and voila!

PS. 2 inch thick Choc Ganache Icing (which is pretty much chocolate and butter) will set like cement in the fridge....thats why he's holding one candle cause thats all he could get out of it until it warmed up!

So can you guess what my challenge is?

Well, I'm distressed that we are finishing....so yes....I wanna see some distressing...

STAPLING (This is a must!)

Really, any kind of abuse you wish to perpetrate upon your layout is just fine with me...

I would like you to include at least one 'found' item on your layout. I classify these as stuff you have not bought specifically to scrap with...like playing cards, packaging, tags from clothes....PS my found item is the three bits of string tied to the top left of my photo and inked...it came from around a candle I had...

That is sensational - and what a fantastic challenge to end with! Can't wait to get stuck into this & get distressed LOL!

What an awesome LO - and I hope you're going to share that recipe (not that I need another chocolate recipe, I'm pretty sure it won't be LSBS Loser approved, but you know, I can always file it away for a rainy day - or my birthday LOL!).

Oh I have been patiently (not) waiting for this challenge - good one Belle!!! I haven't done the last 2 yet, but I WILL have them done before 3rd Jan - I SO will. Have loved every minute of the 52 challenge and love every one of you magical design team to bits!! (Even if Belle STILL hasn't got around to teaching me the My,My,My dance Rolling Eyes

)
Can't wait to see what the next excting thing will be!

Mighty fine Mrs Comerford, mighty fine! I love your LO and I will do my best to do make you proud of my effort in this final challenge! Bring it on! Can't believe it's the end though, wow, haven't we all done a heap of creating in 2009!

Wow, Belle, this is and awesome layout, love that photo and all that distressing, looks great! So amazed that we are at the end. I can't believe I have just this minute caught up to tonight's challenge. It has taken me awh ile to get there, but it feels good to be ready for the last challenge and know i will make it! I have enjoyed it all and really stepping outside the comfort zone, it's been amazing, thanks for all the challenges girls and can't wait to see what you have in store for us next year!
