Change... by Tracy Wyldman
WOW where has the year gone... This is my second last challenge for you all. I was trying to think of what to do, getting back to using up your old stash... And I think I have come up with something...
As most of you know I have been having a HUGE clean up around my house and this weekend it was the laundry and my scrap room that got targeted (the laundry is pretty much done, but the scrap room is going to take some time ) Anyhow... While cleaning I found a pack of Making Memory Fabric Swatches... So this weeks challenge is to use FABRIC on your layout.
I would also like for you to make/use a tag... I remember when I first started scrapping tags were all the rage, so much so that I started a swap group and over the 5 years it ran I had accumulated an awful lot of tags...
Tags can be a gorgeous piece of artwork in themselves... How big your tag/tags and how many you use is up to you.
I have made my tag so it folds, I want to do some journaling about some resent changes in my life, but don't want it for public viewing.
Products used...
Bazzill Cardstock - Grass Cloth - Carob
Bazzill Cardstock - Criss Cross Cream Puff
MM Fabric Swatches
AC Thickers - Giggles Cream
Green Tara Flowers
Scrapmatts Chipboard Frame & Flowers
American Crafts Velvet RicRac
Dymo Tape
Kaisercraft Pearls - Chocolate
Metal Butterfly
I hope you enjoy the challenge

Just gorgeous - i have some fabric somewhere - may i ask, can i use the fabric anyway i like, to make an embellishment with, i was thinking about making a flower with mine - would that be ok, and is felt classed as a fabric, i know a lot of questions, but just need to be sure, now off to pack to go to Dees and get this done!
BTW - great LO, love the pic of Tracy - so hot! _________________

Hmmm this will be interesting.
Can I ask, by fabric does it have to be material or can it be something like woven stuff that was given to me as 'fabric' in a swap??
I'm not sure what it is I have but I think it's jute?? Woven very fine like material, I've seen handbags made from it and hats. Or what about big pieces of lace, does that class as fabric?
I have some rather large pieces of lace, left over from when I used to sew slips/cammisoles and the like.
Love your LO and isn't this a coincidence, I was looking through some old scrap mags this arvo and came across a lovely LO of none other than you Tracy!
Ps oh and tags, yes, have loads of them, even woven ones LOL. _________________

OK... to answer some questions... Sorry I should have put this in the original thread, blame it on complete and utter exhaustion...
I would really like for you to use actual fabric on the layout. Ribbon, felt and jute is all types of fabric I guess but not really what I had in mind. If you are prepared to use them as backing on your layout then I can't see why not.
Flower and embellishment are OK, but I would still like some fabric on the background... _________________

Oh...great challenge - I have heaps of fabric around atm...so that shouldn't be too difficult.
Think I was in some tag swaps ages ago too --- might see what I've got hidden away that I can use for this part of the challenge!
Love your LO too Tracy! _________________ Cheers

Love your layout Tracy, the colours and photo are gorgeous. I don't have much fabric, and most of it is still in storage for the next few weeks. Have plenty of tags though. Will have to put this one on the back burner! _________________
